About Me
I have always thought of myself as the Kool-aid mom that would rather sit at the kid’s table than with the adults! Good thing because I have raised 3 kids of my own and now 4 grandchildren!
As a lifelong creative I have never been too far away from kids or my art studio. I was the youngest of 4 and would often get lost in my imagination. My days were filled with hours of drawing, coloring, building, cutting, and gluing! If you didn’t have something, you made it instead! A retired first-grade teacher by trade and mixed media artist by choice, I’ve never met an art supply I didn’t want to try, however my heart belongs to watercolor! My mother, also a teacher, was always providing little projects and celebrating every holiday imaginable! Naturally, I have followed suit and find great joy in even the smallest moments of life!
When I am not in my studio drawing pictures or snuggling grandbabies, you can find me on an off-road Jeep trail with my husband of 37 years and our very spoiled labrador! Born in Colorado, lived everywhere, but I will forever call Texas my home. I also serve as the Illustrator Coordinator for the Houston chapter of SCBWI. I find much JOY in supporting, nurturing and leading the rising stars of the kid lit world.
While on my journey of illustration, I am available to bring to life any book project or custom art you have in mind! Thank you for visiting my site. Don't forget to collect and remember the little moments of this precious life!
Actively seeking representation and always open for creative opportunities!
